Chair Yoga
Chair yoga is performed sitting in a chair or standing up, using the chair for support. This class offers all the benefits of a traditional yoga class, but with modified poses. Class begins with breathing exercises for grounding and focus, followed by gentle movements to warm the body from head to toe. You will stretch and strengthen muscles while increasing flexibility and range of motion. Standing coordinated movements will build on balance and proprioception. This class provides an introduction to the fundamentals of Ballet. With a focus on developing basic technique through a combination of formal instruction, fun and games, and rhythmic music development, this class is a perfect fit for the beginner ballerina. Class attire is comfortable clothing such as leggings, leotards, tights, and t-shirts. Ballet slippers required. This class is an introduction to Irish Step dancing. Dancers will learn timing, rhythm, and basic steps to introduce them to the world of Irish dance. Props and games are incorporated in an educational manner to further enhance student comprehension. All students participating in this class MUST be potty trained. Class attire is comfortable clothing such as leggings, leotards, tights, and t-shirts. Ballet slippers required. This class provides an introduction to the fundamentals of Tap and Jazz. Tap rhythms, jazz technique, and upbeat combinations create a fun and positive environment for dancers to explore. All students participating in this class MUST be potty trained. Class attire is comfortable clothing such as leggings, leotards, tights, and t-shirts. Tap shoes required for tap. This class will introduce students to the history of Hip-Hop culture with basic moves for the novice dancer. The style encompasses the movements of break-dancing and body- popping with a concentration on footwork.Clothes for hip hop class should be loose and comfortable. You can wear any kind of shirt or tank top. Long sweatpants are the best option: it's better not to expose the knees, especially if you want to breakdance. This class is a basic introduction into the fun world of ballet. Little dancers will have the opportunity to grow as they learn to love ballet and rhythmic movement. With games and props to enhance their exploration, bitty ballerinas will learn the basics of coordination and ballet technique. All students participating in this class MUST be potty trained. They are small and fairly inexpensive and even better, they are fairly easy to learn to play.
